MP Whistleblower explains why he did it.....
The story gets murkier and murkier....there are apparently 3 different versions of the MPs expenses, each one carrying less and less detail....Just how much trouble were MPs going to to try and avoid us finding out the truth?
Surely if they had nothing to hide, then why all the secrecy? As more of the story slips out, what little credibility left is slowly being shot to pieces. In my book ALL MPs are guilty....while not all cynically manipulated the rules, those that didn't MUST have known what was going on, yet they stayed silent. They showed their loyalty to the group rather than to the public.
There will be those who didn't abuse the system, who claim that they were unaware...I don't buy it. Westminster is a small place, and you are not telling me that they don't chatter to each other in the bars and tea rooms. If that minority group really were unaware, then I'd have to question their competence - do we want representatives who don't know whats going on around them? For those that were aware, but chose to do nothing, in my book they are as morally bankrupt as those that defrauded the system.
A general election is the only way to draw a line under this sad affair. Call one now, and let the public decide.
